POP TRASH is a band from Fort Wayne, IN. POP TRASH is the
brainchild of Kyle Lowden. Kyle Lowden is the sole member of
POP TRASH. Although, technically a solo artist, Kyle says
he likes the concept of a band better, specifically when it
comes to sound. However, when assigned the task of describing
POP TRASH's sound, one finds it is not so simple. It is not so
easy to label this band.

When asked why his style is so varied, Kyle answered "I think
it's because my music tastes and influences are just as varied.
I like many artists of different genres and they all influence me
in different songs... they don't just help form one giant picture.
The biggest influence overall has been Roland Orzabal/Tears
For Fears. If you listen to all seven of his albums since 1983,
you'll find that each album uses a different style. That keeps it
interesting for everyone involved. That could explain it too.
However, I think in the grand scheme of things it boils down to
the fact that I'm 18 years old."

Kyle wrote, performed, produced, recorded, and mixed his debut
album for Elenerex Records entitled "TRACKING CONTRADICTION".

POP TRASH has had five songs appear on soundtracks in the
last year. POP TRASH is making huge strides for a relatively
new band. However, this is definitely not the first venture into
the industry.

Kyle Lowden was in several other bands and groups
before he launched POP TRASH. He was a member of the short
lived group D-90. Then he was a member of the improvisational
fusion group KIWEE. That was even more short lived than D-90.
Finally after that, he formed the rock trio INSTANT KARMA. For
a while it seemed as if third time was the charm. INSTANT KARMA
began writing and performing to packed crowds immediately. The
line-up included Grant Boyd (drums, producer) and Sam Hancock
(keyboards, guitar). However, after three years and one lineup
change (Evan Kroh on bass for Sam Hancock) the group finally
fell apart. After a short stint with the group FUZZY MATH,
Kyle became disillusioned with bandmates and began his own
band. This is the evolution into POP TRASH; and ironically the
most successful incarnation.
